Pelletteria Poggioli, operating for over 110 years in Lugano, has always offered high quality services, thanks to the collaboration of a close-knit staff who carries on the family tradition every day with passion and enthusiasm.
Take a look at this page to find out how our business has changed over time!
The initiator was Giuseppe Poggioli, grandfather and great-grandfather of the current owners, who in 1905 opened a saddlery and travel items workshop, immediately distinguishing himself for the manufacture of wooden trunks and items for the Swiss army, such as military bags and belts.
In 2005, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the leather goods business, the Poggioli family organized an anthological exhibition entitled "The history of Lugano on the surface" hosted at Villa Saroli. The itinerary included an exhibition of bags, suitcases and accessories from the Poggioli archive collected over many years, as well as many photographs of old Lugano.
